Mutation, even though considered part of human nature, humans themselves have never
fully accepted those with this natural occurrence. For centuries, those with these mutations h-
ave been forced to go into hiding to keep themselves safe. To stay away from the judging
eyes that they call their own race. But sadly there are some that refuse to give into human dis-
crimination and show off what they are. And through out the years this has happened nothing
good has come of it. Riots and “wars” have been battled. And neither side has won. For hum-
ans still rule the earth, and mutant still live upon it. From the earliest times man has attemp-
ted to create a cure that would relieve them of this mutant pest and all have failed for the gov-
ernment simply will not allow mutants to be exterminated.
While the government was plotting against the mutants, the mutants were plotting against t-
hem. In the early 90’s a group called the Brotherhood of Mutants had been formed to help e-
radicate the human problem that plagued the earth. The world that the leader, Magneto, to hi-
m rightfully belonged to the species Homo-Superior. And so, with many an attack upon the ve-
ry things humans held close. First, upon the Statue of Liberty, attempting to turn th-
e very human population in New York into the thing that they despised. Second upon the very
white house were the president lived. Third was upon a small island that held what they b-
elieved was a cure. All three battles the group had lost, and all three times they had lost g-
reat mutants. As the cure started taking hold of the mutant population the Brotherhood felt a-
s if their own kind had turned their backs on what they were.
For three years the Brotherhood was forced down to petty crimes such as stealing and stands
off with the police in small attempts to show that mutants did still exist and they were there to
stay. But it didn’t work. The police didn’t seem scared anymore. They weren’t afraid of what
mutants could do since the cure could be used in negotiations. And soon, even the Broth-
erhood just, disappeared…
Meanwhile Professor Xavier and his students were easily surviving without the Brotherho-
od to cause anymore trouble for the X-Men. All have settled into the school setting, home-
work, dances, and school drama flutters about without a moments rest but those that saw wh-
at happened at Alcatraz are never going to take it for granted again. New mutants come an-
d go, whether they get real jobs or stay at the mansion where they feel safe. After Alcatraz th-
ey had gained one member of their lovely family back. Ms. Jean Grey had survived the flood-
ing of Alkali Lake and had rejoined the team once her mental state was put into order. Th-
e Phoenix had only made one appearance, and no other. But to be sure Xavier had re-en-
forced his mental blocks and life went on as normal for Xavier’s School for Higher Learning.
As life went on for everyone, a man appeared no one new who he was besides those that aff-
iliated with him. Known as Mister Sinister, he approached a certain Magneto with a little…-
proposition. Combining their forces, they both believed they could finally bring on the wa-
r all humanity was dreading. But it would take time, and it would take something big. Such
as the assassination of Charles Francis Xavier. It was done quickly and without fault, the man
was killed at a speech, a place where he was promoting Mutant/human coexistence.
It was a death that shook even the cruelest of humans; even those that were protesting at t-
he place seemed to stand in silence of the scene. The school took the loss the worst. Classes -
not going on for nearly a month before they attempted to get back into the swing of things.
But it all seemed to move to slow. And so, the Brotherhood and the Marauders made the fir-
st move, and the X-Men plan on making theirs. While neutrals are being forced to choose
a side or risk losing everything they have as Mutant Registration Acts all over the USA are be-
ing restarted. Its time to run the streets with fire at hand, because we’re all reaching out Br-
eaking Point.
